The Virginia Tech SuperDARN Radar Group will be hosting a Tuesday-Friday meeting of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Upper Atmosphere Facilities (UAF) at the Hotel Roanoke. The facilities funded under the NSF UAF program include incoherent scatter radars, atmospheric lidars, and four North American SuperDARN HF radars. The main focus of the meeting is to bring together principal scientists and engineers from the various facilities with NSF program managers in the Directorate of Geosciences to discuss continued operations and new directions in upper atmosphere space science research. More than 50 participants are confirmed so far.

A highlight of the meeting will be a reception and banquet to be held at the Virginia Tech Inn in Blacksburg on Wednesday evening, October 27th, starting at 5:30 pm.
