VT SuperDARN group members Kevin and Sebastien took a trip out to the Blackstone radar site yesterday. They replaced a broken part of the wireless bridge that connects the site to the internet such that the radar is now again able to send real-time data.
Hoorah!
Addition from Kevin:
We transported back valuable data from the past few weeks on an external hard drive and did NOT delete the data stored at the radar site. However, automatic scripts at the lab tried to download this data from the radar site and was still running into 9am this morning. I hope we did not slow down SPAREC's network too much. We also investigated a couple of other bad spots between coaxs and antennas.
