Update 8/19/2011
The installation of the internet has been delayed this week due to a few slow moving pieces as well as things are busy around the Goose Bay area this time of year. We're hoping to restore the connect in the next week or so.
Update 8/12/2011
We believe that a new internet connection will be restored early next week (8/15-8/17) and radar operations will resume shortly thereafter. The radar has not been able to operate for the past few weeks due to the lost of the internet connection.

Our connection to the Goose Bay radar has been lost due to facility changes in and around the site. We are working with local contacts to restore the connection using alternate means. We hope to have a working connection in the next week or two.

Update 9/5/2011
The necessary hardware for the satellite internet connection has been installed. Connection to the site was confirmed and lasted for several hours. However, trouble with configuring the internal network at the radar site have delayed the return of operations at the site. |
