Some of the topics discussed at the workshop included two strong geomagnetic storms which occurred in Fall 2011, as well as future collaborative efforts between SuperDARN radars and the Millstone Hill Incoherent Scatter Radar.

A workshop on mid-latitude science and operations planning was hosted at MIT Haystack Observatory on Feb. 13-14, 2012. It was attended by SuperDARN PIs Simon Shepherd (Dartmouth) and Elsayed Talaat (JHU/APL), Masters student Evan Thomas (Virginia Tech), and Millstone Hill scientists Anthea Coster, Philip Erickson, John Foster, and Frank Lind.
